CLEOPATRA'S BOUDOIR Luxury Boutique

It is a lady's privilege to be beautiful...

Consignment Terms

If you are looking to sell your perfume bottle, antiques, vanity accessories or vintage jewelry but don’t feel like doing it yourself, I can sell your item for you on a consignment basis. Please read all of this carefully as I have changed some of my terms and rates.

I list the item on my website to gain the most exposure. If you have a Lalique bottle, it will also be listed on my other website: www.laliqueperfumebottles.com

I generally try to include as much info as I can about the item in the listings, with good photographs and detailed descriptions.

There are no fees for this service, no rates! just let me know what price YOU want for the bottle, I then add my profit to that amount. You get paid the amount you have asked for. Example:  You want $50 for a bottle, I will usually add anywhere from $10 and up to that price.

I conduct all transactions with utmost professionalism and discreetness so that you, the client can remain anonymous for security's sake.

If you prefer to keep the bottles at your home, your responsibilites are:

#1. to clean the bottles carefully if you choose (be extra careful with labels or applied staining--don't get them wet--it will kill the value) sometimes its just better to wip away the dust with a dry cloth.

#2. take very good clear pictures of the bottle head on, try to get close enough so we can get details. If there is a box or anything else associated with the item, take pics of that too. Take a pic of the bottle and box next to each other if possible. I usually take pictures with a plain white background, computer paper works great. Also take note of your lighting, make sure its bright enough for me to see, but not too bright it washes out the bottle. Black backgrounds are best for clear crystal bottles, like Czech ones or cut glass. If you need to focus the item closer in the picture, most cameras have a little tulip sign that will help you focus.

#3. note any markings on the base whether molded, acid etched or incised)

#4. Please give me measurements and let me know what the capacity of the perfume is, whether its in ounces, drams or milliliters (if its marked).

#5. I need the condition of the bottle, box, etc. Is the perfume sealed with a cord or some sort of seal? Are there any chips or cracks, marks, label damage?

#6. Finally--what price are you hoping to get for the bottle? Please be realistic about your prices. Some people hope to get $1000s of dollars for some bottles which won't sell anymore than $20 in some cases. I'd let you know if I think your prices might be detrimental to selling.

I have been taking on consignments for many clients and it is benefitting both of us in this time of economic uncertainty. As with the way the economy is going, many people are considering selling off some of their collections piece by piece, if you are interested please let me know.
