I just scored a full never-opened bottle of Maderas De Oriente, "locion" strength. It is a tall bottle, I'm guessing at least 100 ml. The label also says, "Barcelona".

I had Maderas in my teens or early 20s and had completely forgotten about it until I happened on this bottle on ebay. I had the "colonia" in a shorter bottle, but recognized it immediately. When it arrived I saw that it had the two small twigs tied together floating in the bottle, which I also remember. It is true to scent, a full-bodied wood, with that sandalwood essence that seems past recapturing. This is a pleasant addition to my collection, which includes vintage Maja, both Spanish and Mexican manufacture, and Nueva Maja, a carnation bomb if ever there was one.
